This is a short/sweet newsreader written in Python2. It was motivated by (1) frustration with the bloat of most newsreaders, and (2) the lack of simple killfile semantics to deal with noise on the groups I still read.
To use this, all you need is an NNTP account somewhere. Take a look at Eternal September for instance.
Despite being short, easy to understand, and very hackable, it still has killfiles for authors/subjects/bodies, collapsible quoting, and read/save/reply functions.
